Marketing Manager

We are looking for an innovative Marketing Manager to join our growing team.

Salary:             £40,000.00pa

Hours:             Full Time

The Company:

HR Solutions are a fast-growing HR Consultancy providing a variety of HR and Health and Safety Services to small and medium sized business across the UK, either direct or through one of our numerous partnerships. 

The Role:

This is a new role to supporting our growing team.  The role will have a focus on developing and growing our digital footprint and brand awareness within our ideal client base across all of our services.

The role will also have a focus on the development of new marketing ideas to promote additional services to our existing client base.

This role will be responsible for managing the Digital Marketing Executive whose focus is improving our digital footprint from website SEO, social media accounts, and liaising with clients and partners to provide news content for their channels, as well as help promote bespoke content and events.

We see the increase of our automated marketing activities as a core part of this role.

The candidate:

To be successful in this role you need to have proven experience in marketing within a professional services B2B environment, with a focus on client experience.

You will be able to come up with innovative marketing ideas, as well as refining tried and tested advertising and marketing tools. 

Main duties:


  • responsible for creating and maintaining a Marketing Strategy
  • responsible for creating marketing audience profiles
  • to develop and manage advertising and marketing campaigns
  • to liaise with third party advertising and marketing partners where necessary to provide additional expertise and support
  • to be responsible for developing and growing the digital channels with the support of the digital marketing executive
  • to analyse and then report on campaigns to review effectiveness
  • Managing the design and production of promotional materials, such as websites and brochures.
  • Overseeing the company’s attendance at events, such as trade shows, conferences, and festivals.
  • To be responsible for researching and analysing market trends, and competitor products, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies
  • To work within an agreed budget, and analysing the performance of each marketing component to ensure that the budget is managed in the most cost effective manner, and maximising ROI
  • To ensure that we create and maintain a set of brand guidelines, that are easy to replicate across all advertising and marketing activities
  • To ensure that all advertising and marketing material is diverse and reflective of the diverse clients that we support


  • to manage the Digital Marketing Executive to ensure that website(s) content is up to date and SEO rich
  • to review the overall website content and structure and present ideas for improvement
  • to ensure that lead generation and enquiries is a core focus of the website

E-Mail Marketing

  • To review our current email marketing activities and consider alternatives
  • To ensure that our email list is maintained in accordance with GDPR
  • To work with our Digital Marketing Executive to create engaging e-mail content to drive engagement with existing clients and prospects


  • To create advertising material to promote services offerings, including events, webinars and training
  • To manage paid advertising channels within budget, and tracking ROI

Customer Feedback

  • Adjusts marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback

Social Media

  • to have overall responsibility for the company’s social media accounts
  • train other staff members on using social media to help promote the company

Public Relations

  • To work with our PR agency to promote newsworthy content across a variety of media outlets


  • to work with colleagues on supporting our partners in managing their accounts, and helping to raise awareness of our services through their network
  • to help provide content and promote events to our partners for them to provide to their own client base.

KPI reporting

  • to create a list of core KPI’s to report progress against
  • to track progress against the Marketing Strategy
  • to provide a monthly report for the Senior Management Team, and Board of Directors

CRM Database

  • To update our CRM (Dynamics 365) with marketing activities

Skills, Experience & Attributes

  • Previous B2B Sales marketing experience
  • Marketing Degree or relevant experience
  • Experience of Hootsuite, MailChimp, WordPress preferred
  • Extensive experience in website analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Previous experience of GoogleAds, LinkedIN advertising
  • Experience of managing a high performing marketing team
  • Experience of setting and managing advertising and marketing budgets
  • Demonstrable results in increasing new business for a professional services company
  • Adjusts marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback
  • Experience of creating a marketing strategy for a professional services company
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • The ability to interpret data and present to key stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a professional target driven environment
  • Confident relationship builder
  • The ability to respond positively to feedback
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Computer literate
  • Experience of using a CRM Database, preferably Dynamics 365
  • Experience of developing Dynamics Marketing module
